before i looked into an evo i was looking at trucks and i could never find the right combination meaning colors, interior configuration, options, engine, etc. but i found her! shes a brand new 04 crew cab 4x4 sierra in silver birch and dark leather and front captains and with just about every option available. she cost 41,500 but since its an 04 they have a $10,000 rebate so it brings it down to $31,500 and if i were to trade in my evo for it i think i could afford it. the problem is i dont know what i could get for my car as a trade in?

i really dont need all this truck but it would be nice to take it to tahoe and haul some bikes (dirt bikes). i know the evo i can slap a rack on in the winter and make it look sweet in the winter but the truck would be lifted (damn i wish i could have both). so what would you guys do trade it in or just keep my new evo?

 

To give you an idea of what possibly you're looking at for "trade-in" value.
I traded my '03 EVO w/ mild aftermarket stuff, and 15k miles, give or take a few miles, for $24,500 for a truck that had all the bells and whistles. Guess what? I REGRET EVERYDAY THAT I TRADED IT IN. I thought that I was going to need a truck because I was building a house. I was only kidding myself. Everything I needed to build was either delivered or small enough to fit in my trunk.

DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!!

 

Does every Chevy dealership have a $10,000 rebate on their 04 trucks?

 

you know what i decided today that im not going to trade it in and im going to rock the **** out of this car. i was just thinking that my next purchase is a house so i better get something i want to keep for some time. i was thinking i needed the truck but i really dont. it sure sounded good though. thanks for the good advice, and i really dont know if all dealer ships have that rebate. but the gmc dealer in san jose on stevencreek has the stickers right on the trucks for 10,000 dollars off.

 

Trading in a Evo for a truck should be punishable by law.
