My daily driven car is a 97 Pontiac Sunfire. Here lately, when you are driving down the road w/ the throttle steady or let off then go to get back on the throttle, the car studders like it wants to die. Then the car picks back up and will do this again a few secs later. The car actually stalled today pulling into the subdivision today.

I have changed the fuel filter, cleaned the TB and egr valve, spark plugs and wires are good...I don't know what is causing this. I am thinking fuel problem though, but dunno for sure. Does a fuel pressure regulator go bad?!?

 

could be a bad batch of fuel, try running some fuel system cleaner, maybe you're all clogged up.

I had a similar problem in my old 95 mercury mystique GS. I ran fuel cleaner with every other tank of fuel and it helped a lot, til my fuel pump died.
