Ok... here's my conspiracy theory 
:
First of all, this video has been posted here before. Second, this video looks staged to me, maybe to promote the company's engine swapping capability. The Evo's clearly not pushing it... Need proof? Check out seconds 38-40. That sedan in the background is GAINING on the Evo!!! Granted, the Evo driver looks like a tool - he's looking down every 1/2 second...
Normally, I wouldn't care, but the Civic forums are now filled with comments like "wow i had no idea, i have to get a k20!!! i just cant get over that evo8 race the eg just walked away no problem!!!!!!!! WOW i want it for my crx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Which means every fool in a Civic is going to try to race me now, and I've given up street racing

^^^^ i agree aswell as when they catch up with the cars you can see they are not going as fast as they should be. Hondas can be fast i dont doubt that is just it looks like a ****box. I mean are you going to go race 04 Cobras with ur civic ? mostlikely laugh at you before pressing down.

there is a guy outside right now with a leaf blower and it sounds beefer then that civic. and damn that is a quick sedan, someone defininately has a nice sleeper going on. what the hell is it about the civic that it gets so much hype? seriously... the back end of the civic doesnt even drop between gears. more like k20 civic vs 2003 evo 8 at 22% braking power. god i hate what people do to make honda look good.

those guys are a bunch of tools.. its clear what they were up to... funny ya never hear the evo wind up. never here the turbo..i think he should be stripped of his evo for being dumb, and donated to someone on this board with a lancer... i guarantee that honda wont win then.. idiots...

Maybe if you actually were a car enthusiast and read your ignorant statements before posting them you would understand. Civics are light cars, usually about 1000lbs lighter than an a standard evo8. Also honda has built some fantastic, reliable, strong NA engines. A CRX with a b18 swap and some bolt ons can be running a 1:1 p/w ratio for an incredibly cheap amount of money. Honda doesn't need people to make them look good, they are a fantastic company, much better than Mitsubishi in my opinion.
