Also, for the record, every study that I have read on the V.G. has stated that it is NOT to add downforce, but rather to improve aerodynamics. In which case it wouldn't matter if it's an MR or not, as long as it has a purpose.

This is actually true, but it's also specifically designed to work with the rear spoiler to help create that downforce that the spoiler is for. You can't just slap it onto any car and expect it to give the performance gains it was designed for.
