05 Altima SE-R

What's everyone think about this car? Saw it at the dealership and it looked pretty impressive, inside and out.

Cool, thanks for your feedback. The only downfall I have with it, is that its FWD. Anyone have any comments about it?

I read about it a few months back in my R&T magazine. Seemed like all the 'R' upgrades were suspension. It's not any faster, which is odd I think.

no, altima se-r comes out this year some time, don't think it's out yet. After being in my buddys sentra se-r spec V, i would not buy the altima unless they did some serious work on it. His car just rides like poop. I tend to not beleive the numbers that nissan puts out anymore after watching that car get pulled on by cars that shouldn't have based on factory numbers.

but hey, you have to get in one and drive it before you will know. They do look nice i must say.

I have an 12 year old Sentra SE-R that I've beaten on and it runs great. Never had a problem. I test drove a 6 cylinder Altima and a Maxima back to back and although they have terrific torque, the fwd drive setup is ridiculous. Even on a moderately hard launch the front end of the car was hopping around all over the place. Didn't like either of them. Get AWD or RWD because FWD just sucks.

The Altima SE-R is out. I have driven it and it is awesome. It's like a 4 door Z (I used to own a 350Z) with a little less power. It rides very nicely. You can't even begin to compare an old Sentra with this car. It's a really great car!

The SE-R is a nice concept. I have a buddy that just got one and put exhaust on it and it kepted up with my boys STOCK evo on the highway. He said handling was ok but I think the car looks great and the ride is cool. Only thing i dont like is the price to performance ratio. Sweet ride for your everyday driving.
