Driving this morning and saw this sweet car

lol i saw the same thing in the seattle area....except it wasent a GTR...only a GTO.

They went so far as to replace the 3000GT with the proper GTO lettering, but added a GT-R emblem. Some people are really, really dumb.

 

Awesome. People are awesomely dumb. One guy at my high school a few years back had a v6 Pontiac Firebird with a "vtec" emblem on the back...

 

man that car has so much potential also 3000gt's r very nice cars! and he had 2 mess it all

 

Too bad the base model is FWD and both models weigh a freakin' ton (figuratively speaking).

I think the VR-4 Spyder (extremely rare) clicks in at just a little under 2 tons, and the VR-4 is about 1 3/4 tons.

EDIT: And yes, the owner of the car in the picture is an idiot. He beats the Element Type R SiR I saw a few months ago.

 

oh well its his car... he can do w/e he wants...

 

It's like the VW gti Type R I saw at the mall last week. Sad to see they would do that to a nice ride.

 

yea normal 3000GT's arent that great at all..they really are just a block of metal with four wheels on them..but once you get a VR4, it's a different story

And also..once you get a GTO GTR, now that's another different story

i hate to burst all the laughter, BUT, in 1999 mitsu built the last of the VR4's for the american market, they never quit with the car, they still produced it in japan, it is called the Mitsubishi GTO which is AWD twin turbo 6. So in which case this guy is trying to say his car is a J-spec VR4. The GTR is just dumb though

That's funny, at least its still a Japanese car, down here in S. Florida there are a lot of dumb asses driving Mustang GT's with the GT-R badges on them. I laugh every time I see one. And I see them a lot.

 

I saw what was supposedly the last available VR-4 in America in a Dallas dealership when I bought my '99 Eclipse GSX in June of 1999. It was right there in the middle of the floor at Don Herring Mitsubishi. It was black and had that huge spoiler and it was waxed and looking SWEET. They had it marked up $6000 dollars for total of about $51,000.
