My friend insists that the Lexus GS430 is the fastest 0 to 60 four door sedan in the world. I can't believe that!
Does anybody know which car that would be? Please don't include speciality models like Ford's SVT, or Mercedes's AMG. Regular stock production 4 door sedans only.

Any ideas?

doesn't he think about the M5?? i don't blame if he doesn't know about the evo, but what the hell is he thinking talking outta his *** saying that the GS430 is the fastest?? and there are cars like the S4, 4 dr skyline, S600, 750IL, WRX STi

 

Yes, well, soon after posting this thread It struck me from quizing the gut he doesn't really know ANYTHING about cars at all, bit of a waste of time as even my list before adding the huge amounts of other cars from other forums left him very quiet!!

Either way theres a few cars that I didn't know about (mainly US ones) that I now do, makes me feel a bit said knowing that the US is missing out on some damn fine jap cars that I take for granted as they are so common!!

I think at one point (several years ago) the Lexus GS was the fastest 4door in the US, briefly. Before that it was the M3. Dunno about now.

 

Hey, that wasn't the one w/the supra TT vs. Evo, was it?

If it wasn't, does anyone have any info about that clip? Specifically, I'm interested in what modifications were on both of the cars...

The fastest 4dorr sedan is the Bentley Arnage T. 450hp and 650lb-ft of torque. It just took the crown for the fastest production sedan from the BMW M5.
The Bentley is a beast but it is also as heavy as a truck. over 5000lbs.
The only car you don't have to be afraid of trucks anymore.

But the Evo VII still rules

 

sk8boardIL...I think I'm gonna have to call you on that...The M-5 is capable of sub 5-second 0-60's while the 5,000 lb Bentley is only putting out at about 5.5 0-60. KiwiMR2 I would say that the EVO VI is probably the fastest (0-60) four door out there (stock) at an estimated 4.4 sec.

 

The Bentley is not in production yet. We will have wait and see what the actual results are going to be. Car and Driver did some test on a preview version and could get 5.5secs. Let's see what the production car can do. But one thing is for sure - it is the sweetest looking 4 door sedan. But the price tag
