Video of F1 warming up!

I'm too lazy to check if this is a repost. First person to say repost can *#%^$@.

They are not turbo. They are:

V-10 - 3.0 Litre - 800 to 900 BHP

These engines idle at about 8K, top rev limit 18-19K.

As you can see and hear they really only have headers coming off the manifold.

This looks like the now defunct Arrows team.

Yea I am an F1 addict...

holy crap. That sounded better than a bike. Amazing what that technology can do. Why can't we have V8's or V10's that rev to 15k on the street?

You get what you pay for really...there's a reason why those cars can do what they do...plenty of research, testing, and fine materials. All of this costs thousands and thousands of dollars...so to have this technology on the street would be too costly and unreliable i might add

and wow what a sick video!

Go To F1 In Indy If You Have Never Been

It is VERY taboo to record F1 like that. Props to the finder and the recorder of the video. Look at my avatar, it's a sad tribute to Arrows F1. Last year at the USGP in Indy I was walking under the track only to look up and see the Arrows team being kept out by the fence....I miss Arrows :-( I always pulled for the teams that were in charge of "cleaning off /warming up the track."Now, If any of your ******* here on the board have never been to a F1 race, take your sorry ***** to the USGP in Indianapolis this June. Tickets are available. These guys really haul **** around the track and sound like nothing you have ever heard. The video llisted here is great, but when you are actually there it'll having you weeping like a batch. At the USGP you can do a pit walkabout on Thursday before the race with a Sunday race ticket and see all of the teams for yourself. GO DAMMIT.................GO! Last year some of the teams warmed their cars too:-)

BTW, they race rain or shine. Here are some pics to help get you there.

the killer thing about that motor is they only weigh about 200-250 lbs. ^ i would highly doubt that, but i am not sure of all the stats. there is so much more to these things than the motor. for example as i was watching monte carlo last season, they were saying that the ferraris were set up with so much downforce (no outright straight away, with ultra turns and formula 1's only tunnel) that if shuey could make it over the curb, and he was going over 120 mph in that tunnel he could easily ramp up the side of the tunnel, and drive upside down. i cant remember the exact numbers but it was way over what he mathematically needed to be doing to make it possible. if you arent hooked on f1 then i am not sure why, cause that is downright crazy stuff.

ps- i was thinking the BAR team but the ARROW team makes a little bit more sense.

u're right about that, wouldnt it be great if we could actually see that not just in numbers? haha

man, revving that engine that much must've killed the people's hearing..i mean people were plugging their ears while the engine was idling, i cant imagine what it's like at redline!

but these engines are an amazing work of art..

Man, i almost shot my load when he started revving......the car was ready to jump off the freakin jack stands! Damn, those cars r amazing. I'm sure every one standing there had their ears bleeding, its probably worse than a rock concert. What i would give to just drive in normal traffic and pass someone doing like 200 MPH (just like in Driven). Anyways, awesome video!!!!!
