Two small turbos would be better than one large one - in theory. More pump losses though.

looks like 41.? kgf/m ~ 300lb-ft which isn't that impressive

A big single turbo is more appropriate for a car like this. Think about it. 2 cylinders powering each turbo, so each turbo is powered by what basically is 1.25L, or 1.0L on an EJ207. Single turbo is more efficient.
