RSX is FWD, which is unfortunate. The S2000 is a great car, but because it is a 2 seater, it may not be the most practical.

The RX8 is a fine car, but it has horrible gas mileage. It, like the S2000, is also 50/50 weight ratio. It revs to 9k, but the aftermarket is mostly weak sauce which means not a lot of choice which may be good, depending on your budget. The MazdaSpeed version is supposed to be 250hp with the supercharger and supposed to fix the very bad midrange on the RX8.

Well, I've looked into some things and decided to get a very clean and well kept 1994 RX7. It only has 28,000 miles on it and I went and looked at it and took it for a test drive. It was amazing. It's cheaper then everything else and the insurance is low due to the fact that it's a 1994. and DAMN that car can haul when you add some new toys to it . Thanks for all of the info and opinions, and if you want, please feel free to comment on the RX7 .

that's pretty much what it takes. my friend just rebuilt the engine after 60,000 miles on a '94 RX7. spent some $3000 on parts and tools (including new clutch). VERY sweet car though, he ran it in VA mountains for like 5 hrs straight (after the break in), got home with a huge grin on his face.

I agree. Get a supercharger for the S2K and you'll have one amazing car.

the rsx does not come with hids and the stock bose system is crap and is always having problems, and how can you afford a s2000 and no evo,....the s2000 is quite a bit more expensive and i'm sure insurance is not that different
personally i don;t even know why you have the rsx in comparsion with the s2000 , and rx8 , so different in price and performance, you should buy a prius you sound like you need to careful with money so the prius will save you in the long run

I had an 03 S2k before my EVO and I LOVED that car to death. I would like to own one again some day. Incredible car and you will love it 100000000000 times more after your first autox .

I was going to say get the rx-8, but after I read through the thread I saw that you got a 94 rx7 w/ 28,000 miles. That's unheard of.

I'd like to say that you have to keep the car well maintained, or like other people have said the engine will pop on you. Keep the boost low or managed really well. The rotary does love revving though. I would also suggest that you pre-mix and that you visit (and subscribe to) www.rx7club.com

PM me with pics and explaination on where you got that car!
