But, I got my old '99 Civic SI down to a 15.2 @91. Bolt ons only. N/A. Intake/Complete exhaust. Of course before I sold it, the clutch was going out. None the less I still got a pretty bad *** time though. I was happy with that time.

really really really fast... if you mod EVERYTHING but the engine to the max, strip the car of all weight, and have a 40 pound midgit drive it... and have a turbo running 40 pounds of boost... though, I don't know how long the car will last that way

ok guys i own a focus right now so you really dont know what you're saying.
to the creator of this thread how many mods are you talking about? and stock engine do you mean internals?
here's info on a stg 3 boosted focus read up:
Focus-Power breaks into the 11's @ NJ FFW!!! 05-25-04
The whole pass right from the start went very well i could feel out of the hole she hooked up and was pulling hard.
My boost was 27 (Gauge) 30 (Boost Controller)Psi not sure what one is right i would guess the gauge.
I was on my 2 year old drag radials (grabbed the wrong set when i loaded the cars )BFG G-Force Drag Dadials(DOT)tires.
I am 5 PSI more boost and hooked up the Overdrive on the Lentech from the Atlanta 12.71 pass. I was hitting the rev limiter at about 3 car length from the lights (Atlanta) and now can pull all the way through the lights I think this made a BIG differance
The ZX3 is still on STOCK Cams and Ignition and running.

I have 10 Psi still there not used and a 125 shot of Nitrous that has yet to be used down the track BUT. Now i have to decide where to stop. With FFW DEMANDING a 5 point cage , safety belts , Drivers Jacket and needing something more than the stock brakes and brake pads . I have to decide just how far do i want to go and how much more to spend on keeping it street legal ?????::: this is the Focus-power.com car. tom is the guy to go to if you want to boost you focus.
there are also a few other people running 14's/low 15's with alot of bolt ons. chipped of course so you can remove the speed limiter and up the rev limiter as well as make sure you're tuned correctly.
although the focus is a slow car it is because it is not meant for drag racing. the focus is a perfect auto-x/ track car because it can outhandle almost any car with a little work.
there is a video of an SVT focus staying with an evo during a couple laps around a track. the evo pulls away in the straight aways but the focus is right on his *** through the twistys
stock you are probably running 17.3 or somewhere around there
go to focusfanatics.com or focaljet.com and you will get more answers.
if the us ever got a decent car the focus RS would destroy alot of cars.
also look out for focus' that have V8 RWD and v6awd swaps. they will get ya

overall + bad appearance focus get a
I would gladly take a mazda3 over a focus, same suspension and much better looking.
the saleen focus is the worst car saleen has ever made. all they did was add their special bodykit to a SVT and ran some lines for n2o. and hooked it up to an empty bottle. you can buy a focus for pretty cheap and then turbo it for the same price as the car. also you can supercharge them quite easily now as well. and for about half the price as a turbo and still put out 200hp/tq. but then again with that SC you're giving the car the power it needs to be a beast in auto-x. actually the mazda 3/6 have the chassis that is being used in the mk2 focus in europe but once again the us gets nothing good and all the focus got was some minor cosmetic upgrades and the 2.3l duratec became standard. and cosworth has been making some pretty impressive parts for the 2.3 making them the engine to have in a compact car.
the focus is a great first car just like a civic and lancer. they can put up with a lot of **** and still run strong but if you want power you gotta pay. thats why i have been debating between an e36 m3 and boosting it and an evo. but i'm choosing an evo because there's alot more m3's than there are evo's. i know of about 4 or so evo's in my town compared to the 100's of m3's
