2007 RWD Hyundai Tiburon confirmed
yea they were talking about the WRC, not SCCA Rallies..
but I think Hyundai has very good styling cues...especially with the Sonata, i absolutely LOVE the back end of that car. I think there should be good things to come out of Hyundai...

Hyundai has just opened a new plant in Alabama and the CEO of Hyundai said at the grand opening that they will target Toyota for product reliability. That is quite a statement for a company who is used to be thought of as a step above Kia.
Now they are coming out with a RWD Tiburon. That is quite a risk especially if we are going to get a V6 that is 3.3L in displacement or larger. Sounds like Hyundai is trying to take over some market share. I like fwd thinking companies like this. We need more options out there as enthusiasts.

Now the question is, who actually has the ***** to take on the critics and buy one... There are Toyota guys, Nissan guys, VW guys etc etc... but could you call yourself a Hyundai guy? I have no problem with these cars at all but in the serious contenders catagory just seems weird to think about for now, the aftermarket isn't huge I don't think either. The only thing holding me back from the new Eclipse is the FWD factor, man it's a shame because the car has it all in every other catagory, EVO is still top on my want list.

That last statement makes me want to bust out my Fight Club dvd.
If Dodge can sell the SRT-4, then Hyundai can sell a RWD Tiburon. I think this is a very forward idea and will be highly embraced. I think the big thing is price-point, they can't push themselves into Mustang territory.
