Another chop. There are no plans for a new Camaro as we speak. RWD cars are on hold at GM while they work on new trucks for us to buy. Ugghhh. It would be nice to see a new Camaro, but if they go the full retro route, I doubt I'd be into it.

From what I heard, the new Camaro will be FWD, and only come in automatic. Craptastic.

No... the Camaro will not resurface any time soon. Did you guys actually read the article?

The guys who run GM are really out of touch. GM sales are on the decline and they can't figure it out. Anyone ever notice that every freakin' Pontiac looks like each other? Is that a G6, a Grand Prix, a GTO, or a Bonneville??? I'm not sure, but it looks really bland!

On the other side... Ford can sell 100,000 Mustangs in a year while GM can barely sell the Camaro/Firebird? Oh well, Ford knows how to sell "exciting" cars but certainly doesn't know how to build excitement in their family cars... could they make the "500" any more bland! Must be a conspiracy to make people fall asleep at the wheel.

Good to see the camaro coming back.. my mom bought one of the last 02's with the 35th anniversary thing on the dash.. its a decent car, but it feels mostly like crap. Suspension is terrible as well as steering. It has a good amount of power though.. (v6) My lancer is still quicker though lol. I know when they come out with this new camaro it will own the mustang. New mustang = junk. =/ I was watching some pro races on speedvision (curvy track f1 type), and the new mustang couldn't even touch some of those 4cylinder cars.. It would lose terribly in the turns and just barely catch up on the straight-aways. They definetly need to improve the handling on the mustang's and camaro's. I bet they will keep it RWD too.. its a tradition.

You just hit the nail on the head. GM has had dominant global market share for 73 years but Toyota is predicted by Forbes magazine to surpass GM within or by the next decade. GM IS OUT OF TOUCH. You are right about all their cars looking the same. They are doing that to try to cut some costs I would suspect. The GTO is a nice car. It has a clean, well thought out interior that is elegant. However, it still looks enough like a two door Gran Prix. There is little distinction. GM is in trouble and they are sinking and will continue to sink unless they give the public what they want. QUALITY.

I was reading an article of number of problems per 100 vehicles that come out of the factory, and GM and Ford are right next to each other in the bottom half of the ratings. Go figure!

GM stands for generic mediocraty....

It would be nice to see the camaro back on the road in any form except FWD. But with the management totally out of touch with their lust for large piggish trucks, I doubt that anyone there has the vision to pull it off.

Just a couple days ago, a second bond rating agency reduced GM's bond offerings to "junk" status - GM is on the ropes financially, there'll be NO new Camaro (or much of anything else) from GM anytime soon.
