New car, suggestions.

Alright well the Explorer is almost sold, I am leaving for USAF training some time before christmas and I saw no need to keep getting wacked with a gas hog, domestic rattles and "when's something random going to break?" worries so I have decided to get something else. I will have whatever I get from now until I come back from training some time next spring... at that time it will be out the door and I will be in an EVO or an STi but there is no need for me to drive something more expensive then a decent get me by car when I don't plan on keeping it long.

People I know that go to the track with me drive SRT-4 (2), a Grand Prix GTP, a 1.8T Golf, a 1.8T GTi, Saab 900, Del Sol, Z06, GT Mustang, LT1 Camaro. I just want something that I can run at the track, drive daily and not have to worry about crap taking it's toll on my wallet. I would like to stay under $5,000-6,000... I am going to try and find a "need's nothing" car... something that the preventive maintinence has been taken care of and hopefully I will come acrossed something with some aftermarket wheels that look nice and maybe a Catback or Turbo back so it's not a bone stock car. I wanted something that could be a low low 15 sec car, maybe creep into the 14's. I was thinking about finding a Integra GSR, Prelude, GTi, 3000gt SL, GS-T (probobly not, I don't feel like dealing with crank walk BS or even worrying about it.), GTi... I know there are more ideas but I am just at a mind blank, what would you guys suggest for a car that is reliable, can take some agressive driving, not expensive to fix or parts and something that can be fun to bomb around in and take to epping, I'm so sick of driving down there and being the only one with a damn SUV. I don't mind higher mileage, I'd like to stay in the 80's-90'sk range... I have ruled out 5.0 Mustangs, LT1's etc etc, no more domestic for me. I would LOVE a nice two door 2.5RS but they are between $8-10k.

LT1 Camaro.
I know you ruled it out, but it's a good idea. You could get a swapped Civic. If you could find an SRT-4 for 8-10k I'd hit it.
