Recall for the new Eclipse...
This kind of thing happens to cars all the time. It's not unusual and it isn't necessarily Mitsubishi's fault. The supplier of the part may have made a bad batch of parts for them. Who knows. Either way it's overweight and FWD. As a former GSX owner it doesn't interest me.

Thats funny you bring that up. Most of the 'best' cars are built in the states. Most of the Hondas are actually put together on US soil. I think Ohio is where their main plant is. All Subaru's are made in Lafayette, Indiana minus the WRX and STI. Most Mitsus come from Illinois. Quite a few of the big "foreign" manufacturers have their cars assembled here.

I beg to differ that American can't put together cars but I DO agree that America can't design cars.

Well this was to be expected, its still Mitsubishi after all. Hopefully there will be no deaths related to this. If it was the Ford Eclipse, we would have had at least 6 national recalls by now, and at least one would have involved a fire.
