just curious if you guys would know the outcome between a turbo is300 & an evo 8 with slight mods. the IS ran a 14.4 at the track last year. its an auto etc doesnt catch speed up till past 4th gear.. has been taken out by a stock srt-4.. what do you guys think?

 

So, you're asking if a modded Evo will run faster than 14.4???

Well if he was taken out by a stock SRT-4, then you should kill him. Not to mention a stock Evo can better a 14.4. A stock Evo runs more like a 13.4. And yours is modded.

Well the IS300 has 215hp from the factory and that is from a bigger heavier engine. A turbo will add what 100hp? If that. But remember your car is modded and the power is coming from a smaller engine. I'd rather have a 4 cylinder making 350hp, than a 6 making the same power.

Well that is a serious turbo. If he does beat you...I look at it this way, look at all the work he had to do to beat you! A bigger turbo and he has 2 extra cylinders and a liter of displacement.

 

true but getting beat by an srt4 (stock btw) in the quarter is humiliating to me then wants to come after a modded evo
