Uhh, no. I'll bet people aren't reading the auction description. They're bidding for the right to purchase the car. So $40K + 90K+ for the M5? Not worth it. I'm sure it'll be a great performer, but I'm just not a fan of the Bangle BMW's.

No production car is worth a premium just to get on the list. If you want one, order one from your dealer and wait.

Holy crap.. I can't believe the bid is up to almost $40k just for the #1 spot on that dealer's list. People must not be reading the description right as they are probably thinking they are bidding on the actual car.

It's not a scam if you've got the money and don't feel like waiting.

No mention of what dealer it is in NJ, the guy has never sold anything on eBay, sure looks like a scam to me.

For those dealers still in denial.

NEWSFLASH
The BMW M5 is not a Ferrari. There IS NO TWO YEAR WAITING LIST FOR THE CAR.

To the idiots bidding on it:

You're probably super rich, so whatever.

I find it hard to believe that anyone can be that dumb. Rich people usually got that way by not giving their money away.

Has any of yall contacted the seller? People that are bidding probally know something we dont. I normally wont bid on a car unless i see it.

This happens all the time on eBay. People pay for spaces in line. My best friend put $500 down on a Carrera GT 3 years ago. He sold his slot a year later for $15,000 - two years before the car was out. It is not a scam and people know exactly what they are paying for.
