I think that 7300 is the best offer that he has had for the car. Not the asking price. Could be wrong though. Not 100% sure.

its a scam! i sent them a email, read the reply:

Hello,
Sorry for delay.

Firts of all thank you for your e-mail regarding my car. It's a great car. My boyfriend is devastated that we have to sell it but we have to pay too much money for register it here, so we decide to sell it. My company have relations in States and I worked there for 2 years.
I buy the car from there and bring it with me when I come back.
The car was buyed from US, so it is US standards, so stay cool it's perfect
compatibile to your standards and you will don't have to pay more duty taxes on it.
And this is an impediment for me to sell it here caus, first, we have a different
standards and second will be very expensive for me to register it here.I have to
pay an very expensive duty taxes. The price for this car is $7,300.00USD.
The car it is still register in States.
What other info. would you like on it?
It will be shipped from Athens,Greece and i will pay the shipping and insurance charges.
I will do the arrangements for shipping from here.

The payment will be done via secure pay which means that the third party will keep the money until you receive and inspect the car.
I will wait for your email to let me know if you are interested in knowing more details
about the purchase.

Thank you! Susan

I also emailed the owner and got the EXACT same email back from them. Word for word! On one hand it seems kinda fishy, but with her willingness to use escrow It doesn't seem like your ordinary scam. If I wasn't so leary about getting screwed over, I'd be at the bank in the morning to get the money.

What if she was to let me select my own escrow company? What would it take to feel confident in handing over $7300 to someone in a foreign country?

That's a huge scam don't send any money! I lost $5000 (which was just a deposit till I was able to see the car because they wanted to make sure I had funds available to make the purchase) in a situation similar to that and I purchased mine on ebay and the funds were sent via western union in my fathers name and I included a security question and the person still picked up the money and to this day I have not seen one cent back or a car for that matter. If the price looks too good to be true then it probably is. Even if the car was rebuilt no one in their right mind would sell it for $7xxx I don't care how rough of shape the car is in. I was trying to purchase an M3 as well and I did a carfax report and it came up clean. Just my opinion though...

How expensive could it be to register the car in Greece? They'd rather lose $40+K selling it?

Dude leave it alone it is a scam!!! I gaurantee the escrow is a fake escorw and it goes directly to them. A guy on EBay had this same setup awahile back, but he was selling Lots of digital cameras, the consumer would deposit the money in the escrow (which was ran by him) then they would never get the 15 cameras for $100 or so. Leave it alone!!!
