Plenty of cases like this and it explains in detail how these people pretend to sell cars from overseas and use fake escrow accounts.

Also a little off topic but a tip:
They've been a bunch of scams on ebay with people selling electronic equipment. The seller contacts the buyer and says they'll give them a free camera (or whatever they're selling) if they (the buyer) will allow other buyers to deposit money into their paypal account. The seller uses some excuse about not having one etc...Then the seller asks the person to remove the money from the paypal account and send a money order to them. Then when the seller never sends the merch, all the buyers chargeback their paypal accounts and the person who accepted all the fund ends up with a negative balance in their account.

I know its hard to believe someone would allow a stranger to use their paypal account, but the temptation of free stuff can sometimes be too strong. Just keep a heads up for this, I've seen a lot of people get snagged with it and have to pay back thousands to paypal.

 

I'd let them deposit money in my Paypal account and then transfer it to my bank account to earn interest, and hold it until I received the merchandise.
