Trade Your Evo For My .:R32?

I've gotten alot of private messages concerning this...and I realize many of you love your Evos to death, it seems theres a couple guys looking for other aspects I'm guessing which is cool as I look in the Evos direction. I love the Evo and the R32 so I have a mutual respect for both so please no flaming, I'm just curious if there was anyone serious of doing this?

My question is, my .:R32 was on ebay for 32k buy it now, 31k reserve without TV n alarm. Lucky for me the R's value has gone up used, with all new ones being sold, and realizing the demand to still be there has made it more than new. Yes I know sucks to anyone who is looking or not wanting to pay more but guess this thing will be worth holding on to.

Wonder why I wanna even sell then I get bored every 6mos or so...anyway, figuring most Evo's private party with low miles 10-20k sell for 24-26k roughly, is there anyone who knows how the swap would work. If I'm financing thru VW credit, and your financing how is the trade made? Thanks for any input, and if anyone else is interested speak up, I'm just curious if theres anyone serious to make a deal. Thanks guys

Some new pics...

nice car.. but im not getting your take on this. If anything the evos value will stay strong. The r32 is a great car..but its not an instant classic. The value will fall off rapidly in a few years, plus is a significant step down in performance.. while being a significant step up in refinement. Refinement losses its edge pretty rapidly as the car ages. Dealerships are still selling used 03s at 25-27. Just saw this the other day at a very cheap dealership. The miles and condition being equal this is a straight up trade.

I cant really tell what you have done to the car besides the sweet wheels though so i may be way off. Nice looking car anyway though.

Fair enough from what you see in pics...your correct in a few years it may go down in value but right now we're not at those few years and value is higher than ever. Used R32s stock at dealers are going for 30-32k with 10k miles, mine is same miles with 6k+ in mods. Xenons (headlights are over 1500.00, no longer avail in the U.S., and xenon fogs which are hidden are 700.00...2200.00 in lighting alone but well worth it!)

It will be a instant classic in a sense because it's the last of the mk4 chassis, only 5000 were EVER produced being a much more limited car than the Evo, was the only mk4 to ever be offered with 4motion, and also the first in the U.S. not to mention the .:R line being the first of the run. There's alot of good with this car that will keep its value very high...

I can see where your coming from which is cool . Ah well, guess we'll go with if your selling your Evo for 26, 27, 28, 29k and I'm selling my R for 31k we'll figure a cash settlement and then figure the trading procedure, hows that so nobody gets their toes stepped on?

You own a really nice car and honestly I don't understand why you are trying to get rid of it. You are getting rid of a perfectly good and nice ride for someones abused Evo.

Not smart.

Sweet ride.... On the day that I test drove an Evo 8 like a year ago I also test drove an R32 with a friend of mine. The VW is definitely nice, but I just fell in love w/ the steering response / braking / acceleration that the Evo had to offer. I went with the Evo and have no regrets!

Thanks for the input!

Thanks for all the other nice comments guys....it's not a must sell situation but you never know, if one comes along that works out really well i'll consider. Otherwise the R32 is going to be turbo come winter

The R32 Volkswagen is tha bomb. I love the looks and the sounds of the engine. Unfortunately the R32 is a bit heavy and is not very powerful.

It would be a killer car with a factory fitted Turbo but for now the car is more looks than performance. It will be worth keeping it if you are serious about a turbo kit upgrade otherwise the car has some tough competition(Evos, WRX;'s, STI,s ,nissan 350Z, Honda S2000, SRT-4's etc) .

The best of the car:

Looks
Quality built
retail value
fully equipped
great engine(lacks on power though)
Great stability
