Back in 03 my friend bought a brand new one. I drove it and didn't impress me for the $$$$$$ he paid for it.
He got his *** handed to him by many cars and was **** so sold it and got a 911 TT.

BUT the thread says 4 doors and the new M3s only come in coupe sooo we can't use the new M3s in comparison with respect to the rules.
So Evo beats out the e36s stock vs stock.
As for what could beat it 0-60 or drag...
I would like to see the new Charger 5.7 Hemi and how it compares 340HP/390Tq
No doubt the CLS55 AMG 469HP SC
the Benz S600 V12 (still under 150,000)
BMW 760Li V12 (still under 150,000)
anyway I think we need more limitations on this...
After all the models named though the only US model close enough in price and power would be the STi... oh yeah and the 2006 IS350 should be close.
Personally, the only car that's got my attention is the NEW M5. I think that's gonna hit the streets here under 100K and it's way sick. Heavy, so the handling might not win out, but in a straight line...by by Evo. BUT, for a very small percentage of that, my MR will be a much better PERFORMANCE car, but that new M5 is butter.

STI is close i guess from 0-60 and 1/4. they are competition to each other after all. If were talkin from a roll, i know you guys wont agree, but the SRT-4 stock can def. hang with a stock EVO. Been done many a times ive heard and seen.

For those that have been to palmdale recently you have witnessed some fast 4 doors, the new rs4 is running high 14's, the Caddy cts-v was running very high 13's, the subaru sti's stock high 13's, evo's stock high 13's, and the fastest one at that track stock was a sick e55 a month ago ran a 12.7. Anyway as for the post the sti is good performer with 4 doors then the price goes way way way up.
