I've driven his MX-5 before and that was a task for me to get in and out (i'm 5'11" and around 250lb) so by my reasoning I'd never fit in an S2. And especially won't fit in an Elise. T.T....i'm so limited. lol I do fit an Evo tho. ;p

man dude i think im also in ur built, i bodybuild alot also..but thats glad to know that i shouldnt even be lookin at the elise or s2k...evo strictly for me

hey bro..no offense...but no one asked you to judge my driving skills..and yes..when i took the s2k for a test drive it stayed with me for 8 hrs and no one from the dealer sat with me in the car..so i tried everything...atleast everything i could think of..

over here in dubai..its totally different...i mean the roads and the other cars on the roads here are so tempting.i mean everyother car is a supercar here :s.i went to school at ohio state and when i was there..i almost went to jail for exceeding the speed limit by a little bit...i was caught doing 110 on a 75...i am not saying that this is bad noo...but here they are less strict about driving..
and about not having experience with RWD cars..well my daily driver is a BMW Z4 3.0 with an Alpina exhaust..its pretty quick..atleast its much faster than the S2k and yes..i drive it pretty hard..in fact i took it to the AutoX once...but broke so many parts in it..my other toy is a Modded Jeep Wrangler..take a look at the link below..you'll find a Vid..enjoy
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/561418

heres a pic of my jeep

i didnt say i am the best driver or anything..i am just an average driver who loves cars...thats about it..and i tried to explain my point of view..so take it easy man..whooaaaaaaaaa

from reading your comments dxbevo8, it sounds like you didn't spend QUALITY time with the car..if you know what i mean if this were a date, you definitely didnt go to 2nd base and it sounds like there will be no 2nd date

This is the biggest bull**** I've read so far..

S2K is known for its handling attributes. I was planning on trading my EVO in for a s2k, but the trade-in was all ****ed up. Personally I don't mind buying a slower feeling car aslong as I feel the car is reliable in the long run. The EVO really made me think twice about reliabilty.

TriCycle STI CPlus, showing that you have a seasoned autoXer friend means what to me? I am not sure I should feel that you drive as competently as your friend now? or I should just think that you have a friend who can drive competently? You see I am a little confused following your logics here, my friend.
man just relax...i never mentioned that iam a good driver...you gotta take it easy on yourself...

Not trying to be a jerk, but why would you throw it into first while the car is moving? Maybe I'm missing something...
i did that with the test drive car coz i dont usually do it with my evo..lol..

and to the rest of you...you might have misunderstood the whole point of this topic..or maybe i miss-represented it...i didnt say its not a fun car noo..infact its so much fun to drive and play around with...
but its nothing from what i expected it to be (as a sports car)...or maybe i really need to go to a driving school...lol

please relax guys...no need to be tensed ..you guys are scaring me..i feel iam on a honda forum or sumthin...lol

It's obvious that you are full of S***. If your defense to being a poor driver is when you auto cross you drove so hard you broke things then you are proving our point. Poor drivers drive beyond a cars capabilities and break things. By the way driving fast does not make you a good driver. After reading your posts Ohio State should be embarrased that one of thier Alums grammar is so poor. Sorry, but you are talking about things you obviously have no idea about. Honda has an extensive racing history; you on the other hand should get a bike and quit disgracing something bc its not an EVO.

very respectful atitude i see...by the way..what other languages do you speak other than english..?
and a Z4 is not meant to be autoxed..its a touring car not a performance car..for your information.

*edit*and by the way..the first car i ever drove in my life was a honda civic...if you read carefully above..not at one point i said i hate hondas..in fact i still think they are so much more reliable than alota cars...

If you know that a Z4 is not meant to be auto crossed then why do it? I'm sure you just wanted everyone on your post to agree with you and bash Honda, but instead your intelligence and driving skill were the targets. Instead you are honestly giving Evo owners a bad name. All in all evo owners are surely car enthusiasts. Most of us can appreciate others car for what they are and not say they are an inferior car bc an evo can outrun it. Hate to break the news, but there are faster better handling cars out there and you won't find Evo anywhere on them!!

ive had a good time reading this thread. made me laugh a few times.
its funny to see everyone defending another car besides the evo. thats refreshing for an internet forum as usually they are very one sided.
meanwhile on to the s2000. my uncle owns a 2003 which is the yr before (maybe 2yrs?) before they upped the displacement to 2.2l to try to deal with the lack of low end torque. this car has absolutely no torque at all but thats not what this car is about. it is a great handling, high revving, chick magnet. the car looks fast, and goes almost as fast as it looks.
as far as coparing it to an evo its like day and night. we are talking about a 4 door turbo awd car vs a convertable N/A rear driver. the s2000 is a great car, and i have had a lot of fun driving it. i just cant wait to get my uncle into my evo haha.
by the way the guy from dubai, sweet wrangler my brother used to drive a rubicon which we wheeled once or twice but nothing near as hardcore as that. awesome picture

by the way i am not trying to make it look crap just coz iam an evo owner no..not at all...but from what i've heard about the car /reputation and for that price...i really had my expectations set so much higher...
i mean same thing happened when i test drove the 350z...those cars are so similar..they only look fast but when it comes to performance..they are hopeless..
unlike the evo...which is designed to fit a family, and performs like a supercar..lol..

well..i believe different cars are designed for different tastes..
Evooooo all the way!

oh man, I loved to drive the s2k's. I worked at a honda dealer and I always used to love to go gas those cars up. I only have a regular lancer, so my car is not very quick, but its got a little power to it. The s2k was wayyyy faster than my car. It handled pretty well to. I've seen people on a parking lot course turn on dimes and drift around cones just schooling everyone else on those tight little courses. The look is like no other, and the cockpit fits me like a glove. (I'm only 5' 8'' though, lol). You guys are right about it being small.. just try wiping out the back window with the top up, I had to wash those things for customers. Its nearly impossible. I'd love to have one of those as a nice convertable summer car. Especially if you put the Comptech supercharger on it to give it around 80-100hp more. That would be one bad@*** car. I love the styling, love the engine (I think its still the top rated hp per liter for a production car), love the interior, and I love the paint jobs for them. That yellow metallic with a pearl overcoat is the best. Plus you can drift pretty easily with that car too.
