Oh, I am currently at a nuclear power generation conference with a guy who makes those in to race cars. He's chopped them with UK mini's from the 60's, autocrosses them, and does anything you can think with them. The guy has like 6 of them.. same color as that one too. lol. He's got this awesome picture of it going around a track at 100mph and the front tire smoking from losing traction around a corner, its awesome, high speed shutter picture and all. I would try to get the pictures, but I think he might have left today. If hes there tomorrow I'll get the pictures for sure to show you all he does to give you some ideas. Those old beemers definetly have a lot of potential.

I am not planning on making HP crazy QM queen car. This will be my circuit track car. I will do suspension and wheels first and maybe chip later on. It has 168hp stock and 170 trq. It has enough of power for the track now. If I do chip, exhaust, intake and intake manifold I can get her up to ~200hp which will be more than enough for now .

Good plan, make it turn and stop better before adding power.

Those E30 cars can be made pretty bad ***. Get those motor mounts checked out. I don't know how many E30's I have seen at the track have the motor mount break or whatever it does, and then the motor torques over and cuts the radiator hose. That is my 2c.

I've always loved E30's. Especially the M3. I got to drive one at Summit Point and it was simply amazing. Good luck on your project.
