need help getting paint off bike

i need ideas here guys. i recently bought a raven black yamaha r6 2005. last weekend my roomate painted the basement. i dont know if he mixed the paint in the garage or what, but there are slight flecks of it on the front fairing of the bike and on the windshield. the bike is black and the paint is a maroon type color. it has dried on there. i didnt noticed it until today. not horribly noticable, but im **** about these things and i need it off. like i said its not like he slapped it on there or something, maybe he mixed it in the garage, some paint particles got in the air and managed to get on the front of my bike. the paint is gloss so im afraid rubbing compound will take the gloss off and make the finish flat. any ideas how to get it off are appreciated guys.

If it's water-based paint, then a wet rag should do the trick. Otherwise call the vendor that sold you the paint.

ill double check but im pretty sure its not water based. its interior paint for a house so normally thats not right??? also a wet rag will not do it. i already tried that along with that polish/cleaner from griots garage (great stuff by the way) and that didnt work. im going to have to figure something else out. ill double check on the water based though.

I had specks of white paint from some sort of road construction on my hood/fenders. I went to some professional detailers and they clay bar'd the areas and paint went away. And for good measure, they also polished/waxed the entire car. They even clay bar'd my windows!

try Novus polish, they have a heavy scratch remover that should do the trick.

Just about any body shop or good detail shop would be able to get that off without doing any major harm.
