... don't buy an evo... at your age I hate to be driving next to you when your in boost. Stick your moms car, make her insurance and other benz drivers insurance go up.

 

Lexus IS250 or BMW 325i. These should be fun cars and safe enough for you to learn.

i had to buy a nissan sentra thats almost older than me its a 5speed though.. so i am ready for an evo any time cause ill have experience

 

I would suggest a 350z. As an owner of one I can tell you it's a great balance of performance and looks and you can get an Enthusiast edition loaded rather nicely for right at $30k.

 

Yes Z's are great cars. A lot of $/hp though.

 

Pony cars? Mustang, Charger or GTO? Even with automatic transmissions they'll do 60 in close to 5.5 seconds. Amazing when you think that it wasn't that long ago you had to spend a boatload of money on an M3 or Corvette to get that kind of acceleration. The new Lexus 3.5 IS looks impressive, but that's probably closer to $40K out the door.

 

If you are looking for a good ride with a decent interior.. you can save your parents a little money and insurance money by going with an Accord V6 or something. You can get them with a nice leather interior, navigation, etc. They have enough power (240hp--v6 or 255hp--hybrid).. those things are pretty quick. Plus they offer it in a 6-speed as well if you want a manual trans. It comes in a coupe or 4 door.. and they have the hybrid accord as well now. Those were some of my favorite cars to drive when I worked at the Honda/Toyota dealership last year.

GIVE THE KID A BREAK!!!!!! so what if his mom is buying him a car or maybe he is buying himself the car. the guy just asked for some info and thats it. so anyway maybe go with a g35 because for 35k it has everything you need. if not then just get the new Mercedes Benz c350 its one of the few benzes that comes stick and is nicely equipped for about 35k. it also has a nice v6 in it and like all MB they are steady as hell on the free way. but you should know that already.

 

not possible to buy your own brand new benz when you are 16...you can only work 20hrs a week.
