Interesting Make/Model Safety Info

Usually it's hard to find data that comes from real world crash analysis from fatal accidents, but here's some teaser graphs. Obviously there are driver factors in here, so it's a statistical analysis of accidents. Yes, young males in sports cars tend to kill themselves off no matter how many star crash rating the car gets.
Another interesting line: "Sports models are characterized by high risk and, except for the Corvette, a high fraction of the driver fatalities in sports cars are young males." Yup, the Corvette is a geezer-mobile like I always suspected. Oh, and for some reason the Corvette is very low risk to other drivers, while being high-risk to the driver.
Notice that the least safe type of car is a sports car, and one of the least safe models for a subcompact is the Neon. Thank god they don't produce a sports car version of the Neon!
