Im line up for my local VW dealership to test drive the o6 GTi. That is gonna be one sweet *** ride, im pretty sure Im gonna get it after watching/review all the UK reports.

 

my friend and i drove past a vw dealer today and noticed a red gli out front. the dealer was closed, but to our good fortune the car was unlocked! talk about the best experience ever looking at a car. no vultures waiting as you pull up, no bs-ing salesman next to you the whole time.

the car looked, quite honestly, very good. the interior was amazing, and definitely felt more like an audi than a vw. this one was fully loaded with leather and the dsg. i have to say that i seriously did not like the dsg flaps, because they were like tiny buttons. they just didn't feel right; not enough travel and too hard to press really. i loved the black interior roofing, and was impressed by the 6, possibly 8 airbags i counted. the trunk was GINORMOUS. twice as big as the lancer's.

i didn't get the chance to test drive, but i'll try to write something up when i get the chance.

oh, lastly, the sticker (fully loaded) came to 29,740.

 

on more thing i almost forgot... my favorite "feature" was the tiny round cut out between the standard two cup holder up front. what was it for? red bull! how cool is that?

looks better in person, and a lot better than some of the other new cars that have been coming out. give it some time. it'll probably grow on you. i can tell you this also, i think it looks a lot better than the lancer (either body style).
