the DSG option is only $875. not bad at all, definitely adds a lot to the cool factor. kinda like the lambo in transporter 2, where they added a few shots just to show it off.
i like the inside...but the outside....i think it's f_ckin ugly as hell...especially compared to the last jetta...
my girlfriend just got a 04 GLI and we went to the dealer and compared the two side by side.....much happier with the 04

unlikely, unless i have to sell the evo i just got for some strange reason. i just got it a month ago, that would be like getting a divorce right after the honeymoon! i do like the DSG though, really cool technology.

DSG is basically a two clutch manumatic. it has three driving options.
1. regular automatic (saves gas)
2. sport automatic (runs the rpms higher before shifting)
3. manual (by use of F1 style wheel flaps)
if at any time the flaps are used the mode changes to manual. there is no clutch pedal, because it is technically an automatic. what makes it so cool is that while you're in gear, there's another clutch ready and waiting for your gear change, which comes lightning fast, making it faster than a manual gearbox (unless you're strung out on crack, in which case you shouldn't be driving anyway).
it is the same system found on audis and lambos.
