I drove both cars.....can't understand really why you're worried....TL is a damn nice car though.

 

The TL is nice but not an Evo. It is a lot slower and the handling is bad(a lot of understeer through corners). A regular TL puts down as much power as the A-spec, but the A-spec has very good looks. In the end, your friend has no chance.
