In Japan, its still called the Integra, RSX is the north american name. Also, I think there might be a chance that they'll bring the Type R, with honda having the new SI, Acura is gonna have to step up and without the NSX, the next logical idea would be the Type R, but it probably wont happen. Also, I think they uped the HP on the Type R when they made the type S have 210.

The Type-R in japan has 220hp and weights 2600lbs (give or take a few lbs). It doesn't come with AC or Radio (but you can add them). Honda won't bring the ITR here because the price. The ITR in japan roughly sells for about 28k maybe even more with a few options. That's how much honda would sell it for, since the rsx-s here sells for about 23-24k. In that price range (or add a few k more) you could get the an

Evo
S2k
RX8
350z
STi
... just to name a few.

Only die-hard honda/ITR enthusiast would by this. Personally, if honda/acura did offer the ITR in the states, I would buy it IMMEDIATLY. I give credit to the car, it has soooooo much potential. Still, it won't happen and your best bet is the 2005-2006 RSX-s, which has great potential already.

The Civic Si k20z3 has potential aswell, but the outer shell is ugly and rides a bit high a la dodge neon. Ive seen a pic of it slammed on tiens and i still didn't like the ride height. The interior is pretty sweet, but ill take the RSX-s interior over the new Si. I give honda props for bringing back the Si and giving it the performance it seriously lack with the ep3 (the curren Si).

Now SuperStreet is reporting the same rumor. I wonder where they are getting this information. It does sound appealing though. I hope they are true and that it happens soon.

on the crsx forum, there was a post that someone did a dyno with an si with the airbox off and got 209whp. they say the car is under rated since from the factory it says 197hp.
