2006 mercedes slk350 roadster

Well this punk kid in my dorm drives a 2006 mercedes slk350 roadster. He was talking all this smack about how his car could beat me at the track. We are going to race at a 1/4 mile track. Stock his car does 0-60 in 5.4 sec and he told me that the motor isnt stock. My dad has the same car and i have driven it and it doesnt pull at all. From what i gather he doesnt know **** about his car, he didnt even know what model it was. I have basic bolt ons and i am addin 272's. Do you guys think i could take him if he is modded?

yeah i dont think it s.c. the kid doesnt know his *** from his elbow. He was telling me how he has these chrome muffler tips, and how it sounds so mean. And how he kept up with the Dodge Viper, i just laughed and said ok. I just wanna shut this kid up.

Spank him at the at the track and then tell him how bad his chrysler sucks. I'm sure he'll realize it after he goes over 15k miles and starts having a bunch of problems with it.

lol +1 on that...
and since he's so confident, lol bring it to the PINKS show and race him for his car... if he backs up he's just simply a spoiled-dumbass guy

Well, considering Daimler-Chrysler's controlling share of Mitsubishi wouldn't that make Mitsubishis Chryslers as well?

Just take it to the track and shut him up. No Mercedes I've driven, and that's not to say all, just not the once I've driven, have been able to translate the good amounts of power their engines make into quickness. My mother's current car (85) 500SEL is slower than my Lancer ever was. I know weight is a big factor, but you'd think the hp/tq differences would cover that.

I can only assume the SLK's do much better, but there's still little comparison between your two cars.

With a good driver, the SLK350 runs high 13's are just over 100mph traps in the 1/4 and top out at 155mph (speed limiter). Just FYI...

just dont mess with an E55. one was messing with me on the highway a while back. we both floored it from about 70. i know the evo doesnt shine on the highway like it does off the line or on a track, but with TB exhuast and boost control its not bad. cams would have helped im sure. either way it wasnt pretty for me. that E55 really raped me on the higway. find out a few weeks later on some car show (dont remember which one) that it is one of the fastest cars ever tested from 70-120. it hung with all types of supercars at those speeds. that charged mercedes 8 doesnt mess around.

We havent raced yet. He now tells me that he had alot of custom work done to the motor. I think some shop called EGB or somthing like that did the work, and they put in parts from some tunner in Germany. I really dont think he has alot done, he doesnt know crap about the car, but he is extreamly wealthy so who knows. I will let you guy know who wins, and i will try to tape it.

Brabus, Rennsport and Kleeman are the only companies I know of that modify/provide parts for the new 350. And since it is in only it's second year those parts are pretty well limited to the usual intake/exhause/PCM programming stuff ie not a whole lot of additional power in aftermarker parts for the 350, so far anyway. Been doing a lot of research on these SLK's as I hope to make the AMG verssion SLK55 my next car . So to sum up, I think he's just feeding ya a line on the mods to his (daddy's?) car.
