A local cop was admiring the car while we were doing the shoot and he asked if we wanted the car in any of the shots....so I took full advantage of that offer!!!

Nice car and all, but I don't get these cars in terms of performance upgrades.

In order to make some power, you have to toss out the T-25, the Intercooler, injectors and then build the motor as it isn't fortified like a 4G63 or turbo motors normally are. I would just buy and Build a Honda at that point as they need the same upgrades but the aftermarket is HUGE on the Honda.

It's a nice car and all, but what killes me is the plastic IC piping, terrible IC location, terrible Turbo in terms of performance, and a weak bottom end.

I would shoot myself if I had that many mods in a gutted turbo car w/fmic and only ran 13s. What is the point of the cage, and what kind of track days is this good for? You can take a 130,000 mile 1g DSM and run 13s overnight with about $100 in mods if you disconnect the exhaust...

Also, I want all of YOU to shoot ME if I ever give a mod list where more than half of it is just a bunch of junk that has nothing to do with performance. Nice canards, btw, wtf...those must get a lot of use.

The MSP is not built to be a speed machine.....it's meant to be an INSANE handling car with a bit of punch. The stock handling in this car will shame any old DSM or Honda you can buy. Since the car needs nothing in that department, he's decided to make it go faster too. This platform had great success in SpeedGT racing too beating Honda's, Acura's, Bimmers, and Turbo cars like the WRX and SRT-4 so it is definitely nothing to sneeze at. There are only 200 or so of these ever made so making a fast one is even more unique so I give props. I still love our "spicy" to death. I keep trying to get the wife to trade it in for an EVO and she will NOT let it go.

Be different. I would go to the ends of the earth to be different.

Congrats on the bulild up. The stock motor is very brittle and I give you mad props.

i like what you've done to the engine (almost time for a rebuild), but your exterior is pretty gross. it looks like there is a piece of electrical tape running down your stock wheel on each spoke, and those canards i think they're called are, umm, yea. if you take off the electric tape, cf pieces, and put a grill in front of your intercooler, then i'd like it. i know it's not my car and you do what you think looks good, just giving my opinion

Quick question, why do you have an evo type hood on a mazda? Apart from that little oddity cars nice, not necessarily my cup of tea in terms of some of the mods, but a nice car none the less.
