Its cute.. You'd actually be surprised, in Europe and Japan, "Micro" cars are pretty popular and you see quite a few of these "Sub Sub Compact" cars in the areas where the city life and roads are congested and narrow and the traffic is generally slow moving.

Smart has a few cars, and one larger model has recently gotten through the DOT trials and approvals to be sold in the USA as a Daimler Chrysler model (In 2007 I think)

I've always loved cars like this, unfortunately there not intended for highway driving, only low speed local driving, so very few, if any, had passed stringent DOT requirements for a street driven vehicle. Recently an Electric car was approved for use as a low speed local access vehicle, and may open the door to short distance, low speed, "City Cars"

I saw one of these in SC

I was driving in Charleston, SC about a week ago and saw some old guy driving one. I sure would hate to be involved in a car accident sitting in one of these things. I wonder if they will start using this car in the Worlds Strongest Man car pull competition
