I hate displacement everytime I see a 9 second 8cyl I get pissed. Guy drives to and from the track and runs mid 9's on pump.

Dont know about your car but my evo will spin them forever in the rain so whats your point.

 

Don't hate displacement. If that is all he can run with a v8 and a turbo then that's pretty funny. Ams'll beat 'em with 4 less cylinders. Everytime I see a 9 second 8cyl I laugh. It's kinda like seeing a built Supra bragging when they have less than 1,000hp. Just stupid.

 

Ams is not god and neither is the Evo and its 2 liter motor. That 9 second mercedes is on pump gas and with a car that weighs over a 1000lbs more. When an Evo can do that Ill be impressed. We run 9s using 35-40 psi on C16. Besides the E55 is a much better cruising car. I like my Evo but lets not get ridiculous.

 

I agree. The Evo is an impressive car. But when an Evo can run 9's on 93/94 octane, then I will **** in my pants!

 

Uh...duhh....Uhhh.....I'm a noob The car has full accessories and can be street driven all day from East coast to West coast on pump gas that's the issue. Can the AMS EVO do that....NO, it can't.

It's not the time that's so impressive it's the time combined with the car running good ole pump gas. They have 8 second pump gas vipers will a EVO ever do that? No, it won't.

 

Actually yes, it could, they would just need to turn down the boost a little.

 

Why can't you domestic haters just be happy for the guy. It is people like you that give the imports a bad name. A 9 second pass in anything is impressive especially on pump gas.

 

But it won't run 9's. But turning down the boost isn't the only thing. Slap an emissions legal cat on it as well.
