I know they've got some in stock at my dealer.....we just bought an A4 and he called me to let me know he had some of the A3 AWD's in for test driving now since I commented on how much I liked them. Should be a sweet ride though......I'd love to have one myself but the wife didn't like the hatch look which I love.

hehe i just drove my friend's manual tranny 2.0 fwd a3 for about 3 hours tonight. not sure about the v6 version, but the i4, 2.0 version has a turbo, and available torque from 1800 rpm to like 5000 or something. it was pretty fun to drive, esp. for me since i come from hondas and have never experienced "torque". anyways, i loved the interior design/functions and the exterior appearance (his is metallic grey ext. and beige int.). handling is not as good as my gsr but my gsr is modded, but overall a very comfy and luxurious car that accelerates quite well when the gas is glued to the floor. a heavy car like this makes u feel like u're going at 45 when u're at 100 mph. i liked the shift knob, it fitted perfectly in my hand. the throw was a bit long but smooth. driving this 6-spd makes me more determined to get the Evo MR and not just the GSR cuz 6-spd is NICE. imo.

if i were to get the a3, i'd get the 2.0 turbo over the v6, just cuz i'm a fi guy, but dat's just IMHO. of course it'd be nice to get the awd on the 2.0T...unfortnuately my friend settled for a fwd, but it's still a very nice car.

I love the 2.0T. It pulls pretty hard and with the right flash, anything is possible.....

The 2.0 is already on the verge of having too much power and torque for a FWD car.
It's quite a fast car and a lot of fun to drive. The 6 speed and DSG automatic both work very well with the car.

The 3.2 Quattro is very sweet, but you start getting into that 35-37k price range, and it becomes a lot of money for a hatch back.
