I hate people like that. They label anything from Japan as rice. You could have a bone stock car like me, and the 'stangers would call me a ricer because I realized Jap cars are better.

They seem to like to pick on aftermarket exhausts... even though they all have those long *** chrome ones that stick almost a foot past the bumper.

People have been doing hybrids for awhile. I'll never forget the video of a 240 Z (I think) with an LS-1 in it. Layed down about 50 feet of rubber and could barely keep from going sideways.

I never heard import guys complaining when people started dropping V8s into RX-7s.

I think its because import people are looking for anything insane and orginal. i think import people can take more change than domestic muscle guys.

If so, I guess I can see where this is going. POS rolls up looking all sleeper-esque, then He starts it up and whoops everyone in a weird-sounding Mustang.
good call. I'd bet on that

one of the most beautiful cars of all time, with rims that don't look right and an engine note that doesn't sound right. That power-plant is fine for it's original application but there are more important things than speed or 'modifications for modification's sake'.

I'd take that mustang with it's original motor and trim over a 1,000 hp skyline. Easily.
Need to respect a classic.

That mustang in 'gone in 60 seconds' was a bit of an abomination too.... Some things shouldn't be messed with.

i just thought about this one too....

I can't imagine ever showing it off to any of my friends.

"Hey why not pop the hood and show me the engine?" (theyre not into cars much)

me "ummmm okay sure"

them "Why does it say Nissan?"

me "Oh thats the uber awesome V6 from the Skyline blahblahblah"

them "Sounds like you got ripped off LOL"

well thats the problem. you might be better off (if you had that motor) around people that actually run their cars, say, at the race track, and sit around and talk and dyno-race . . .

Your advice is good up to a point, and I'm sure I'd enjoy that, but I'm not in a hurry to get rid of my old friends.

Thanks anyways. I'm sure the car is awesome to drive but I have a sense of style which prohibits me from enjoying it the way another person might.

I don't hate it, I just prefer other things.
