If it was a slushbox, it wouldn't be a "bucking bronco".
evo's are cracked out ****** who give great sex.
m5's are high class beautiful women who give good sex.
Deciding what you want is the tough part. Would you take a crack ***** to the movies? I would choose the hot chick who gives ok sex

It seems like a 4000 pound video game too me. Really, the only thing that appeals too me about the car is the engine. The rest of it leaves me stone cold. For that kind of money, it wouldn't even make my list.

I bet it would take me under an hour to hammer that POS smartly into a telephone pole at rediculous velocity.
85k for a car I couldn't wrench on or race make no sense.
Now spending 85k to mod my busted a$$ 03' evo makes total sense

Thats why they market them to people that will drop $85k on a car like it was nothing. I would drive one, and have a MR to have fun with

Ferrari's have electronically controlled manual transmissions.......SMG doesn't have a clutch or anything like a manual tranny. In place of the torque converter they've got some hydraulic system that changes the gears. It's certainly better than a traditional manu-matic slushbox but still not as good as a traditional manual or DSG. I test drove a new BMW about 3 weeks ago with SMG.....it's close but no cigar.

I found this article about SMG on the BMWworld website that says there's no clutch. If it's wrong then my apologies.
The new SMG II gearbox has these features and benefits:
* You can choose between two shift modes, the sequential ("S") mode or the automated ("A") mode.
* "Drivelogic" allows you to individually match the SMG's shift characteristic to your preferred driving habits, with eleven different driving programs.
* When downshifting, the engine will automatically double-declutch.
* There is no need for a clutch, clutch pedal or torque converter.
* It is easy to select the optimum shift point with the "shift lights", LEDs in the cockpit indicating the optimum shift point on the tachometer.
