Ok, I probably would get flamed and I actually cant imagine that I'm thinking this but I'm starting to feel that I've 'grown out' of the EVO and I'm starting to look at the Mazdaspeed 6. What do you guys think? It definitely wont be as fast as the EVO but it's alot more refined and is actually affordable.

Wow... grow out of an Evo? The Evo comparing against that car. I would say only the ride feel and maybe the interior is on the mazda's side. The Evo wins in EVERY other category!!

If you feel that the evo is too childish for your tastes, this may be the car for you. However, you will most definatley miss the hardcore performance the evolution has to offer.

True about the perfrmance part, the EVO will blow the doors off of the Mazda. I think the feeling is more of the EVO being a bit of a 'chore' to drive around town at normal speeds. Before I wouldnt even say such things but I'm starting to feel the lack of low-end torque is really starting to get tiresome. I dont find the evo childish, in fact, I think to really drive an evo at 10/10ths take a mature driver.

the mazda6speed isn't a bad car...in fact the interior is nice and so is the six speed...but yes i would agree you will miss the performance of an evo...but if you are growing out of it...the speed 6 should be a good fit for you.

Thanks for the input. After some quickie research on the car, it's nice but it just doesnt 'scream out' to me like the evo. I think I just need to start modding my car to keep it fresh.

I don't really think it matters if we would trade-in for the MazdaSpeed 6. I'd recommend go test-driving and find out if you like it over the Evo, since you're that might be "growing out" of the Evo.

Yeah, trade a car with over ten years of research and development going into it, for a car with not even two years in prodution backed by probably 6-12 months of R&D. That sounds like a great idea.

Join the mazdaspeed protege forum and check the previous problems they had in the past. If you want to keep it stock, then it's your call. If you want to modify it, the MSP can't even sustain a manual boost controller.

Lets be honest, the Evo is very bitter on the inside, specially the stupid gauge that says Lancer.

The MazadSpeed comes really nice but remember it does not come with a nice pair of Recaros, it does not come with a 2.1 turn to turbn supersharp sterering mechanism, it does not come with the best stock brakes in the market and it does not comes with the same sport suspension as the Evo.

If you don't mind sacrificing a sports car for something that might look a bit nicer but wouldn't perform well then go ahead and get tyhe Mazda.

You will regret soon. Good luck!! Not worth on my opinion..

Stroke your motor out to 2.3l anf you will get some of the low end torque. I could not trade my evo in for the mazdaspeed though.
