yea that has been up in the air for a while. they were saying 5 months ago that they were going to go with a turbo 2.0 not the 2.3, but thats cool. it will be the same as the mazda speed six. this is awesome

 

ugly just like the dodge caliber. maxdaspeed protege and miata may be slower but i like them A LOT more

 

FWD + High HP = Too much torque steer.

Last thing I need is a wrestling match with the steering wheel while going ***** to the wall.

Stiff motor mounts, LSD, and good tires are a good start. Or just learn how to drive on the street.

 

And if it's AWD?

 

I think it's going to be pretty damn sweet. The Mazda3S already handles awesome stock, so I can only imagine what this will be like. I'd prefer it to be the 5 door hatch. I think the sedan's back end looks awkward. I wonder how they'll upgrade the interior.

 

It would be nice if it were AWD drive like the Mazdaspeed 6.

 

That would be nice, but might boost the MSRP too high to be competitive.

I figured if they were to use the 2.3 from the 6, they'd use the 3wd platform also...

I know that was also up in the air. With that kind of package, it'd be definitely a more civilized option than the meth-addict Evo

 

The only thing that is going to suck is if it is a WRX like performer, I wasnt impressed with the Mazdaspeed 6, it's too damn slow... 14+ 1/4 mile for the specs it has??? commonnnn

 

IMHO, the MSP 6 is really geared towards fighting the Legacy GT. It's meant to be kind of fast, but it's still more luxury then performance. Most of the mags out are testing it against the LGT, too. I'm seeing this thing as more of an SRT-4 fighter. Entry level turbo performance priced just a bit higher then the SRT, but lower then a WRX. I can also see this thing handling a ****load better then the SRT.
