According to the March 2002 issue of "Automobile" magazine, a U.S. spec WRX STi will start arriving at Subaru dealerships as early as this August. Only specification mentioned was "30 more h.p. than the standard WRX"

Instead of going into details on the US version, the bastages raved on about some WRX STI RA Type C not available here. Has alumimum hood, roof, and trunk as well as thin glass. Supposed to be 200 lbs less than a "standard" Japanese STI which is supposed to be 150 lbs less than the standard Japanese WRX.

I think Sti info is good. Afterall I don't think I'll be the only one looking at the Sti if the Evo comes to the US too "watered down"
