I don't feel to sorry for him.
FahKen Evo!: I don't mind you directly copy-pasting my thread, but next time ask permission for the photo's.
Everyone: I'm the original thread starter, and my advice to you is that you reserve judgement, it's probable that the kid was trying to catch some air over the bridge, but not a fact. Also, let he who has not sinned cast the first stone. We're performance-car people, and we've all made mistakes, or had lapses in judgement, but were lucky enough to have survived.

Iono. I have a hard time feeling too sorry for the guy, but I still wouldn't wish that on anyone. There are certain risks you assume when driving, even more risks when driving beyond the limits of the law, and infinitely more when doing something this stupid. Probably most of us HAVE done stupid things in our cars. Maybe some people have even done the same thing minus the accident. But that doesn't mean we didn't risk the same things. We just got lucky. Lapses in judgement do not necessarily add up to catastrophe, and everyone overestimates their driving ability or car's ability once in their life. Whether or not he was trying to catch air, 120mph is insanely inappropriate on any public road. I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say he deserved it, but it was a risk he took.
Anyway, RIP. My condolences to his friends and family.

Personally, I would not wish that on my worst enemy. I feel lucky to have escaped with a lot of stupid things that I did when I was younger. You know however, something could have broken on the car, i.e. suspension etc, that caused him to crash. I guess we will never know, but the point is you really can't blame it on driver error alone since there is no one to ask what REALLY happened. Well R.I.P. man............................
