How would EVO fare against NSX??
Dave...turns into a monster with his new evo... revving on all of the York-ians.
Pretty much what these guys said. 1997 (or so) they added more hp and 6 speed...they run 12.9ish with a good driver...from a roll they should have you beat every which way. the older 1991-1996 had 270hp, 5 speeds.... 13.8 ¼ mile or so....that would be a closer race....a win for the evo if from a dead start.
I must be getting older.... i haven't revved on anyone...
hell just race people from 0-40mph, then shut down...that is the easiest way to win races in the evo.

Right out of C & D
"The last NSX we tested (July 1999) was an Alex Zanardi limited-edition model, which scaled in much lighter (2970 pounds versus 3153) than the curb weight Acura lists for the 2002 model. It sprinted to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds, covered the quarter-mile in 13.2 at 106 mph, stopped from 70 mph in 164 feet, and pulled 0.93 g on the skidpad."

It would depend on how wired you have your launch down. Evo not the easiest to launch hard so I've heard. NSXboy probably been riding it longer than you with the Evo. The NSX is faster than alot of people think, and if it were for a top speed contest you would LOSE.

My uncle has a 2002 BLACK NSX and when i drive that OMG! its amazing!!!!NSX is soooo fast and handles so good. i bet it would out handle an evo. All this people complain about no luxury. its not a luxury car. ITS a race CAR!! if any of you guys have driven one you would know. He also has a whit Z06 and that has POWER but after 110mph it feels like its just gonna slip out from under you weveing in and out of traffic. I think NSX would take the evo. after all ive seen rsx with a few mods take evo so im sad
NSX Is the next car i buy after college!!!

for 90 g's i'd rather get a viper than an nsx. check out the scc magazine shootout if you disagree. don't get me wrong, i love the evo and would do just about anything to get one, but when it come to sheer speed stock, the viper owns. at least one american car rocks.

Hey, for MY $90g's...I'll pick up an E46 M3 AND and an EVO 8
.
Back on topic, the NSX and the EVO are different type of cars targeted to different market sectors as well as performance level...the NSX is an GT (high-speed, stability) while the EVO is an Rally car (fast/quick acceleration, easy to manuvaer).
As far as 1/4 miles goes...it's really up to the drivers

the current level of the NSX it will def beat an evo...even a newer first gen (old body style) would beat it...
evo have a good chance at beating it tho in a stoplight sprint IMO...
the NSX has heart, hand built car man...at least the whole interior
i always hear ppl go like "for 80g you'd expect a car with more than 280hp"...
