How would EVO fare against NSX??

So...I was driving around today with my girl and pass this sweet *** black NSX. Pretty boy driving it with his girl. We are driving along in traffic and I rev him a couple times. He doesnt do anything..Just driving along at 35mph he was behind me then all of a sudden floors it and shoots past me. I had no idea it was coming or I would have prepared for it. Needless to say, there was no way I could catch up to him. I think he did that just to make sure I couldn't beat him. Just curious how I would have done if we both launched at a stoplight (like I wanted to) and if he hadn't "cheated"

dude he wouldnt have died. I personnaly think from the numbers that I have seen that it would come down to the driver and it would be a close race. You certainly wouldnt die.

Not true. Any pre 96 NSX off the line would get smoked by an Evo probably all the way up to 4th gear maybe higher. Actually I believe the Evo beats the pre 96 NSX in the 1/4 by a couple of tenths. 96 on up is another story. Larger engine, more power, and all around faster car. To this day an NSX stands to be one of the most overpriced vehicles on the planet. It doesn't stand up to most cars dollar for power and it doesn't have Mercedez SL500 technology and comfort in it. It's a beautiful car and very nice but not worth the 90K pricetag. Just so you know pre 96 NSX ran about a 5.5 0-60 if they were lucky. More upwards of 5.8.

No, my uncle owns an older NSX (93 or 94??), and the EVO pulls just as hard, if not harder than it. handles better too. I think it would be a very close race, since the EVO has more torque, but NSX has more HP.

Exactly what the two ahead of me said...lol

Actually, he wouldn't, unless of course he crashed. NSX's are not stop light brawlers, they are fast once rolling. Very quick on the highway with the lovely gearing/powerband combination that makes them so much fun.

FWIW...I used to work at an Acura dealer and got quite a bit of seat time in the car.

the newer NSX's (newest body style) 02'+ is stock in the mid 12's, you stand no chance what so ever so don't bother... and even the older ones were in the low 13's...

sorry dude - but more like 260 for the older models and 290 for the newer, and there is no chance in hell a s2000 could hang with a nsx (old or new) - speaking from personal experience

and it's not all about hp numbers - the power to weight ratio is sickening and the gearing is arguable the best on the market. I understand how some people say they are rediculously over priced, but once you drive one you will retract your statement.

and on a final note honda's aren't meant for srtaight lines - it's in the corners that the NSX will show her teeth

This is pretty realistic. The MPH indicates it pretty quick in the upper end.

Bottom line, it really depends of what year and model the NSX is. Some NSXs would be a very close race with the Evo, being decided upon by the better driver and other NSXs would be faster then the USDM Evo as they have a low 13 sec. quarter mile time with a trap speed of 109 miles per hour. Top speed wise, all the NSX models have a higher top speed.
