What do you guys think of the 03-04 Cobra? Pros, Cons? I'd be mainly concerned with the reliability.

Are they reliable or still built like S*it? I think there sexy, I drove a 2004 Black Vert... the clutch SUCKS though, SO stiff.

 

The 03-04 cobra is badass....plain and simple

 

I had a green 99, and loved it. The newer style 04's are just flat-out great looking.

 

Yes, to both. The platform and engine are fairly reliable (provided you leave them alone), both having been refined over a relatively long time (20+ years for the chassis, 7 or 8 for the engine). However, the car is built rather poorly. The body panel and interior trim fitment is not good, the clutch is sloppy and feels loose, the steering is marginal, there is a lot of chassis flex - typical Ford build quality, in other words.

If you're into going fast in a straight line, it's a good choice (much better than an Evo). With a bit of money in the right place, it's a fairly reliable 11 second car.

 

Yeah the clutches are stiff. I'm one of the few girls out there that can handle one. You have to have a good pair of calfs! haha

I still love them. My bf has one. 01 convertible. I love it. Pulls like a ****!

I love my evo more though!

 

still an '01 is only half compared to the 03's +

His car has over 100 passes at the track plus numerous street vids. The car had 5k in it until two weeks ago and ran a 10.6@132mph on pump/race mix. Now it has run a 6.68@106mph in the 1/8th should be good for low 10's at 136mph ish.

Not too bad and no breakage at all.

A guy that works in parts at my dealership had a 03 sonic blue cobra.. Sweet as hell only mods are a intake, off road X-pipe, 2.8 inch cupercharger pulley,injectors and Bigger M.A.F. and he put down 506 hp at the rear wheels.... he doesn't hook up for **** but that supercharger whine is soooo sexy
