I'm seriously thinking of getting a Mini Cooper S in dark blue.
It prices out to be around $20k or so and thus, a whole lot cheaper than the Evo.
The interior of the Mini is also gorgeous! Cute little car.

 

car is fast as ***** thats all i have to say. its a little pocket rocket.

 

Saw the car in the car show a while back. Very clean, neat looking. Should be fun, if you don't need the passenger/cargo space

I wouldn't say fast as *****....I have driven an s on more than one occasion...yes! indeed they are a fun car to have...but I was not impressed with the power delivery. The constant shifting(6 speed) to keep the power coming was quite annoying(it's going to be even worse in the STI do to the turbo). yes I know it is SC...not TC...meaning the power is very linear, but the engine being of a small origin needed to be wrapped out nonetheless to get decent power. It will be a fun car but ask yourself, will you be able to live with that car for the next 3-6 years? I was almost ready to buy it when that performance package comes out this summer...but I could not convince myself to get it even with the 196 HP performance package. Just because of the retroness of the car. I could not stand the center mounted speedo do to the fact that if you just glance at it you cannot accurately read it do to the angle. You have to lean over to the right to get straight in front of it.

Not to sway your decision....but the mini is a car for a certain crowd just as the evo is. Just my 2 cents..take it as you will.
