New pontiac competion?
New pontiac competion?
Hey, everyone probably knows that Pontiac os selling the "new" G5 Pursuit, basically a clone of the Chev. Cobalt...
Anyways, a friend of mine happened in a dealer the other day and said that they have a GT model of it, according to GM's website it's got an Ecotec 2.4L I-4 (LE5)with 171hp @ 6200 rpm and 163 lb-ft @ 5000 rpm.
Seems a little high reviving for the torque, and I haven't found any info on 1/4 mile times, but seems like it could be a new contentor for the RA, SE-R Spec V, 3 GT, etc., etc.
GM also claims gas mileage(mi/imp. gallon) of 30 city / 45 hwy / 35 combined, which is pretty much the exact same as the 145hp version of the 2.2L, only it takes premium.

Anyone driven one yet? or heard/seen 1/4 miles of it?

ehhh... stupid name... ugly car. Looks like something old men and women will drive. I wouldn't look for too much competition out of these. I haven't seen the Cobalt SS in my area driven by anybody under 50.
Looks almost identical to the chevy cobalt, except for a revised grill and front bumper air dam, atleast change it up a bit more. Don't these american car companies know any better? My god, no wonder why people buy japanese over american.
