Shouldn't you ask this question on a Toyota forum. I doubt any Evo owners have swapped a 4G63 into a Toyota.

There are a lot of differences between a ST204 and a ST205, such small things like the entire rear floor pan is different, different fuel tank, and the entire suspension, including the front (super strut system). You're not going to be able to do this cheaply at all, you're probably better off buying a ST205 and driving it that way.

I never heard of anyone trying that conversion. The toyota 96ish is a forbidden body, to be honest it is one of the least popular body styles ever made in the industry. It was a very decafeinated vehicle but hey, whatever floats your boat if I find some info I would let you know but good luck!!

why would you spend all the money and time to put a 4g63 into a celica? when the 3sgte engine swaps in with almost no modifications, and is a good engine... the 96 celica's in japan known as the celica GT4 came AWD so your best bet would try to buy a wrecked on from japan...

no it only came ff but the 3s motor will drop into the us body with little modification all u need to make it work is the tranny, and axles off of a gt model celica the awd trans wont work obviously. the 3sgte off the 94-99 jdm gt4 is way easier to drop in than the later models that are readily available here. the 3sgte can put down some serious power. no the 2jz wont fit without major modification either (rwd)
. 3sgte is the best way to go

I found lots of front clips awhile ago on ebay they ship them from japan cut in two from actual running gt fours over in jp . If you search st205 which is the body style of the gt4 you should find some. u.s. models are st202
