My New Bike

I hve yet to pick it up, as Im still waiting for the check to come in the mail,

but I was going to get the Factory version, but the standard RSV1000R comes with everything I want anyways. They're both expensive as hell, but I found a 2004 with everything I want on it...steering dampener, adjustable rear sets, akrapovic exhaust, unlocked ECU with race map, forged OZ wheels in place of the factorys...really an awesome deal.

Anyone have a trailer that I can borrow for a week to drive X-Country?

HAHAHA. I can't wait...I almost traded the Evo for it...but the difference in price I would have killed myself for making an impetuous decision like that, so Im financing it.

Wish me luck!

Here are the factory pics of the bike itself.

12,500 used. Not insanely expensive, but new the bike is like 17,999.

The new Factorys are gold and black and have a new FI computer, but if anyone has ever ridden even the first gen, first year of the RSV-R'S....they're amazing bikes....some better than others of course, but in a league of their own.

I was going to go with a Honda CBR1000RR, then a Gixxer, then an R1...all the while lookin for something "different".

The guy at the dealership yesterday suggested a Ducati....I am too big for one. He had an older RSV, so I reminded myself what it felt like and sat on that....and all things equal, it seems a lot bigger than it is...its very light and nimble...

I am so excited...I will post pics ASAP. I have yet to get it though...Im just like a kid before christmas or his 17th b-day...

Celty, you ride?

Very nice bike! I def understand wanting something "different". I have an r1, and it seems like everyone and their mother has one.

nick, although R1's are common, they are still one helluva machine...that was actually my second honest choice....

As for you, rock...the Nori edition is nice...very very nice

Have you seen the new factory? Magenesium wheels....gold and black...

Reminds me of my 12R i had...gold, black...but not nearly as overkill...well, maybe a little bit...but not nearly as elite!!!
