Nissan SER specV
Nissan SER specV
DAMN! Those Nissan SER specVs are a lot faster than our weak pieces of junk. I wish i never would have bought this sorry oz crap edition. Nissan SER specV rules us all. LOL!!! ahahahahahahahahha!!!
yah...my friend has one of those, and i just put in his header yesterday, that thing hauls pretty good, but i still keep pretty good pace with him considering he has about 60 or more HP than me....

The Spec-V is a nice car--it is very easy to get more hp out of it. Handles great and very reliable. Also has the same bolt pattern as the OZ. The only downfall of the Spec-V (that I know of) is, if the electronics get messed with, it's very hard to get it to work perfectly and the wiring harness for the whole car is a PAIN to get replaced.
BTW.. doesn't B_tapper have a spec-v? I think so..

hahah i have a se-r not a spec v but just about 7 hp less. its fast and nice but the ride isnt as smooth for me. i like to cruise and pimp my lancer. and haul **** in the sentra...
the spec-v is a big time Highway car thats the main reason i didng get that. plus it has the ****ty rockford additions. not for me. the gears are so low that you are shifting ALL THE ****ING TIME!!!! my se-r has smoked my father in laws spec-v and all i have is exaust.... maybe its cause he is shifting all the damn time...

ladyg: how do you figure the spec v shares the same bolt pattern as the OZ? the spec v is 5 lug and the OZ is 4 lug. The spec v has other problems like headers getting damaged due to the way they are designed and the engine heat. It also has a problem with oil foam because of this complicated oil cooling system that also ends up robbing you of a few horsepower.
Nero: there are reasons people go for the spec v over the se-r like the front helical limited slip differencial, better suspension, few extra horsepower, skyline style sets and pimped out interior, 17 inch rims and better tires, and other minor things i'm probably forgetting. The only reason i can see for someone to get a se-r and not a spec v is if they neeeded an automatic trans. The only way you would have won in a race against a spec v is if the other guy didn't know how to drive his car.
Don't get me wrong i love my lancer... but i also only paid $9,000 for it. If i would have had to pay $17,000 to get a lancer then i would have had a spec v easy. I just couldn't afford it and now i'm very happy with my car.

as i drove the spec-v i could only notice VERY small diffrences mostly in the raido. true the FLSD is a big extra but im anything but a race car driver and with out an extra 5 grand with the spec-v your not either. true its fast but still not a race car. as far as the rims and tires go i changed them within two weeks anyway. the audio system was gutted anyway. as far as the seats go.... it would have been nice to have the better seats and over all nicer interior but what does that really have to do with the over all car. i didnt want to pay for that ****, but thats just me.
as far as the bolt pattern goes i have seen the specv rims fit on our lancers... https://www.evolutionm.net/registry/...hicleid=248&s=

not a fan of the spec V took a look at it when i was in the market for cars. I wasnt impressed at all. They could have done a lot more with the car if they didnt focus on all the bells and whistles Nissian SER specV why dont you get a freakin life? Take all that time to register and that just to bag on peoples cars....you have WAY too much time on your hands.
