I'm sure this will be moved to "Other cars"... but I thought the turbo junkies will find this interesting.
Only had my Moto and didn't have my camera cause I wasn't really expecting to see it, much less drive it... but I'll let the pics do that talking.
to the cool owner. Enjoy!

This ia a real deal Ford Escort Cosworth RS..
AWD, turbo, 169 kW (227 bhp) at 6250 rpm, 299 Nm at 3500 rpm... rally car and something you will never get Ford to sell here ever.
This is a road legal example that a friend's buddy owns. Not sure of all the details, but it was bought and registered. It's a LHD too.
Here's a some info about what the car is all about.

Big in the UK and I've seen vids of high hp ones destroying some pretty impressive cars. The car had a Mongoose exhaust and a chip but everything else was pretty much stock. It had AWESOME Tax-Ox brakes! I'd have to say it felt better than the Brembos.
The car drove nice, good clutch and shifting felt easy and it was fast. But honestly I didn't get to "push it" on the street, but it's definitely "unlike" the Escorts we got in the U.S.
Hopefully it "might" make it to a track day coming up, so that would be interesting to see.

they did sell it here at select dealers for 48k though, that was insain for 1993, if i recall a dealer in orlando had one, back then only a super wrc enthusiast with alot of money would buy one some thing like that.
